Objective: Diagnosing diseases with Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging (SFDI) and Image Processing in MATLAB

At the BOTLAB, under Darren Roblyer and Aarohi Mehendale, I am tasked to interpret spatial frequency domain imaging (SFDI) results to make a disease diagnosis through image processing in MATLAB. SFDI is a non-contact imaging technique that utilizes spatially modulated light to generate a map of optical properties in biological tissue. It has already been applied in the medical field, such as to quantitatively image strokes, brain injury, and cortical spreading depression.
